Every casino game prices its payouts below the fair odds, and the gap is the house edge. If a bet wins 50% of the time, fair odds would pay 2.00x; a game with a 1% edge pays 1.98x. That small difference is what the operator keeps, and it applies to every bet regardless of the strategy layered on top of it.
This is why no target multiplier, tile count or betting progression changes expected value. What they do change is variance: how often you win, how big the wins are, and how deep the losing streaks run. The calculators above make that trade-off explicit so you can pick the variance profile your bankroll can survive rather than chasing a system that cannot exist.
Provably fair games publish a hashed server seed before the round and reveal it afterwards, letting you verify that the result was fixed before you bet. The formulas used here are the published ones from those implementations, so the numbers match what your casino client shows.
